Judicial sources told The Express Tribune that the CJ ordered the inquiry after having taken notice of news reports appearing in the press regarding deplorable condition of schools in Tando Muhammad Khan, Mithi, Khairpur and Kashmore districts.
The SHC CJ directed the district and sessions judges of the districts concerned to hold an inquiry into the lack of basic amenities and teaching staff at the schools and submit their report to the high court.

Meanwhile, the SHC CJ also directed the Sukkur district and sessions judge to conduct an inquiry into the allegations of embezzlement in the funds of the Sukkur Baitul Mal.
The CJ had taken notice of a press report of a blind person, Akbar Almani, who was protesting outside the Sukkur press club against alleged corruption in Baitul Mal.
