ABBOTTABAD: At least three people were killed and 13 others, including two brothers and a sister, were critically injured in two separate road accidents in Abbottabad on Monday. According to police, a car fell into a deep gorge on the Banda Sinjlian road near Abbottabad. As a result, two people, including the driver of the vehicle 21-year-driver Hamza Shabeer, and his elder sister Tahira Rehman, died on the spot. Six people, including women and children, were critically injured in the incident. Officials from the City Police Station and locals rushed to the site and rescued the injured and retrieved the bodies of a brother and sister and shifted them to District Headquarters Hospital Abbottabad. The injured were identified as Maqsood Iqbal, Humaira Amjad, Samina Shafique, five-year-old Haleema Azmat and two-year-old Noor Amjad were critically injured. In another accident, a man died and seven others were injured when a jeep fell into a ravine near Chooti Magri village of Sari Saleh. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Akram, the son of Muneer Zaman. The injured included Mehnaz Mazhar, Azeem Iqbal Mustafa, Shahi Taj Muhammad, Sameena Sultan Muhammad, Muhammad Rafeeq Afzal, Fozia Abdul Waheed and Tazeem Miandad.
