
Simona Jankowski an analyst at Apple had previously stated that the price is expected to cross $1000.
“We expect the iPhone 8 to have 128GB and 256GB models priced at $999 and $1,099, respectively,” Jankowski and her team told their clients in a note seen by Business Insider.

The New York Times has backed that claim by suggesting that anonymous sources briefed over the product have priced the upcoming device at $999.
This follows numerous leaks detailing the iPhone 8's design. The ever reliable iPhone leaker, Evan Blass, gave us a sneak peak as to what an encased iPhone 8 could look like.

Facial Recognition
According to a number of reports, the most predominant feature of the upcoming iPhone 8 has to offer is its ability to unlock using facial recognition.
The feature is being referred to as the iPhone’s ‘crown jewel’, according to Bloomberg.

While the facial recognition is not something entirely new, what sets the iPhone 8’s 3D facial recognition feature apart from its rivals is the ability to recognise its owner in “millionths of a second”.

Expected Date
The iPhone is expected to launch in September with Mac4ever going as far as suggesting September 12th to be the launch date.
Other leaked information suggests sales start from September 18th or 19th this year.
Just a few weeks from the launch, let's see if Apple can meet user expectations with its upcoming iPhone
