LAHORE: Punjab University has awarded four PhD degrees to the scholars in different fields including Islamic studies, solid state physics, sociology and mathematics.

Sultan Sikandar was awarded the doctorate degree in the subject of Islamic Studies after approval of his thesis entitled “Usool Al-Fiqh Ka Irtiqa’ Awr Us ki Tadwin-E-Naw Sadr-Al-Shari’ Ah Ki Khidmaat Ki Roshani Mein”.

Aseya Akbar secured her PhD degree in the subject of solid state physics (microelectronics/nanotechnology) after approval of her thesis entitled “Preparation and Characterisation of Different Iron Oxide Phases for Advanced Applications”.

While Wasif Ali was awarded his PhD degree in the subject of sociology after approval of his thesis on “Social Construct of Scarcity: A Challenge for Sustainability of Ground Water in Lahore” and Rubab Manzoor in the subject of mathematics.
