Amplifier Act: Cases against 2 prayer leaders

MUZAFFARGARH: Shehr Sultan Police registered cases against two prayer leaders for violating the Amplifier Act on Wednesday.

The police registered cases against Qari Dildar Hussain of Jamia Masjid Bhunbhu Sindeela and Maulana Irshad Ahmed of Jamia Masjid Shehr Sultan.

The scholars were also charged for making inflammatory speeches against minority communities.

Residents of the area said that both men had delivered several sermons inciting violence against members of the Ahmadi community.

Both clerics were found to be involved in committing similar prior offences.
