Football: Brazil, Italy climb in FIFA ranking
PARIS:
Brazil climbed to third place in the latest Fifa world ranking published yesterday, knocking Germany off the podium and dropping South American rivals Argentina one place to fifth. Brazil beat Scotland 2-0 in their last match, a friendly in London on March 27, while World Cup semi-finalists Germany fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Australia on March 29. Spain continue to lead the rankings while Italy re-enter the top 10 for the first time in seven months.
