Pakistani model Saheefa Khattak bashed for her new hairstyle

She just made a Qandeel Baloch comparison

Model Saheefa Jabbar Khattak really stood out from the crowd at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2017 because of her daring haircut. However, due to this pixie style, people have had quite a lot to say about her. It's definitely not the first time a female public figure has faced repercussions due to her choices.



The model was emotionally disturbed after reading the comments on her recent photo-shoot and took to Facebook to express her grief.

She went on to speak about people’s “double standards” as on one hand everyone seems to promote women empowerment but on the other, they don’t hold back when it comes to shaming. "We talk about woman rights and freedom of whatever she wants for her and here in the comments section, people are saying things which should never be said."



She then decided to oppose all the people discrediting her through a live Facebook video where she can be seen lashing back at the haters.

The model echoed the need to educate the new generation rather than giving them exposure to social media without supervision. "We need to teach them that commenting on one's way of dressing, living and eating isn't our mission. We are moving towards a huge downfall and we need to lift ourselves as a nation first, instead of calling one names online," she added.



She continued by making reference to the late model Qandeel Baloch: "You are provoking others by making such comments."

Khattak shared how she was kicked out of female bathrooms at airports for looking like a boy and how traffic police constables would harass her by pointing at her haircut. To all these incidents, she said, "I can't even drive safely on the roads now."



"I live on my own and I'm better than all the women calling me names because I'm educated, I earn well and I can provide for my kids and family in the future while these women will only complete their Matriculation and then get married," she exclaimed.

Concluding the bitter riot that has needlessly caused a storm, Khattak stated, "I'm not going to upload more statuses because you all are stuck with the choice of my haircut and can't think beyond this while I am more than what you see."
