Shah, speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, said that this year's Hajj quota was increased by Rs20,000 while up to 5000 centres will receive Hajj applications across the country.
He confirmed that a total of 179,000 Pakistanis will perform the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
He also said that new policies that have been introduced are for providing relief to Hajj pilgrims since air travel fares were increased by six per cent recently.
