Fighting Crime: Sindh IGP meets senior police officers

KARACHI: The Sindh IGP, Fayyaz Leghari, addressed a press conference after a meeting with inter-provincial senior police officers on Tuesday, stressing the need for coordinated efforts to fight lawlessness.

Senior police officers took a two-day session and presented research papers and shared experiences. “We need better coordination betweent police departments, the motorway and railway police and all other related organisations to curb organised crime,” said Leghari.

The police chiefs agreed to reform police departments, according to a notice issued by the chief police officer after the meeting.

Former Sindh IGPSalahuddin Babar Khattak, Karachi CCPO Saud Ahmed, Punjab Additional IGP Zafar Abbas and Kyhber-Pakhtunkhwa Additional IG Akhtar Ali Shah attended the meeting.
