KARACHI:

The government has decided to take action against manufacturers of sub-standard products in the country.

“Quality consciousness will be developed among consumers through media campaigns which will promote the buying of good quality products,” said Irfan Naeem, who is the federal secretary for Science and Technology. He was visiting the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) on Tuesday.

Naeem stressed that all manufacturers should follow PSQCA’s standard specifications in order to strengthen the economy and establish the trust of other countries in local products.
