Google, Facebook wish Pakistan Azaadi Mubarak

With Pakistan's patriotic fervour at its peak on the occasion of Independence day, social media giants Google and Facebook have passed on their best wishes to Pakistanis.

Google keeps up with its Doodle tradition of marking famous dates with interactive doodles.





"Today people wave the country’s green and white flag, with its crescent in the center during celebrations of Pakistan’s Independence. Fireworks, parades, songs, poetry and colourful lights accompany ... Happy 70th Independence Day Pakistan," according to a blog post.



Facebook also shared a post to mark Pakistan's 70 years of Independence.
