Press Release August 10, 2017

ISLAMABAD: Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Zubair Tufail, while welcoming Mexican companies, said on Wednesday that there were enormous opportunities for foreign investment in Pakistan and asked them to avail themselves of the opportunities in various fields. Talking to Mexico’s Ambassador to Pakistan Alfonso Kamarina at the FPCCI office in Islamabad, he reaffirmed government’s facilitation and support for foreign investors. The FPCCI president highlighted agriculture as a high-potential sector for foreign investors. He also predicted a surge in trading activities after completion of economic zones planned under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, urging Mexican companies to become part of the development process. He emphasised the need for exchanging trade delegations between the two countries. The ambassador said Pakistan and Mexico should trade directly without the involvement of any third country with their respective private sectors leading the charge.
