Ahad served the notice through her lawyer Ali Zia Bajwa. In the notice, she demanded that Sanaullah should submit a written apology within seven days for trying to malign her character by calling her a "professional". If he fails to do so, she will sue Sanaullah for Rs20 million.
She claimed that the law minister had passed the remarks on a TV show.
Hamza’s former wife comes to Imran’s rescue
Following MNA Ayesha Gulalai's sexual harassment allegations against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, Ahad had announced on Saturday that she would move an election supervisory body against her ex-husband.
Addressing a joint press conference with PTI’s female leaders including Firdous Ashiq Awan, Ahad had again claimed that MNA Hamza had lied to her that he had divorced his previous wife prior to their marriage in 2010.
“I will present all evidences to establish this lie before the ECP [Election Commission of Pakistan] and get Hamza Shehbaz disqualified,” Ayesha Ahad claimed. “Hamza Shehbaz is neither Sadiq nor Ameen. The entire Sharif family has teamed up to defend lies,” she added.
On Friday, the National Assembly had passed a motion calling for the formation of a special parliamentary committee to investigate the allegations levelled by Gulalai against Imran.
