PESHAWAR:
Ayesha Ahad has been wronged and persistently denied justice for years and she should get justice, senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Naeemul Haq said on Sunday.
Talking to media persons at Gymkhana Ground here, Haq said that PTI wanted justice for Ayesha Ahad too.
He attended Sports and Culture Federation’s Imran Khan Talent Hunt Trials organised by PTI.
He challenged the Jamat-e-Islami to explain why they were supporting Ayesha Gulalai, who levelled baseless allegations against PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Terming Pakistan’s political environment at its worst, the PTI leader said that the federal government was actually being run by a puppet prime minister. He criticised former PM Nawaz Sharif for unduly interfering in state affairs.
Hundreds of potential cricketers from various districts of KP and FATA participated in the second edition of the trials. Earlier, Rs30 million had been spent in the first edition and at least 24 players were short-listed during the first trials but they were still waiting to participate in the National Cricket Academy events.
Naeemul Haq was accompanied by President of PTI’s Sports and Culture Wing Hameeda Shahid, Vice-President Rakhshanda Nosheen, President KP Ajmal Khan Mohmand and Secretary Inamullah.
The selection committee included Hashmat Khan, a first class cricketer and coach, Irfanullah Babo, another first class cricketer in addition to three other members.

Talking to media persons, Inamullah said that they would short-list 200 players in the first round, followed by second and third rounds on the same day to select 12 players to be sent to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
Inamullah said that this time, Naeemul Haq had made arrangements with cricket academy officials for sending 12 players who would be selected during the second edition of the trials. PTI’s Sports and Culture Federation did not take on board the Peshawar District Cricket Association or the Regional Cricket Associations of Peshawar or FATA.
