It’s been said that a newspaper is a nation talking with itself. In other words, by holding a mirror to the society at large, a daily periodical provides a moment of serious self-reflection and feedback. This is a very good thing, for it leads to the gradual evolution of the nation.

It’s been some time since I switched to The Express Tribune. Before this, each and every other form of newsprint had passed before my eyes and I found them all lacking in one way or another. Either there was some imbalance in reporting the facts or flaws in execution of content. After perusing the articles and headlines, I was left with the feeling that there was something missing from the whole.

But The Express Tribune is different from all other news sources. It is a wonderful compendium of the current cross-fertilization which is taking place in our culture. Besides the bold print and highlights, there are various interesting stories on the inner pages that catch one’s attention.

I literally find myself engrossed in the nitty-gritty details found within this newspaper of newspapers. The Business and Sport Sections are two of the segments I especially like to look into. This is because I happen to run an ad agency and am a cricket enthusiast as well. The unique blend of written content coupled with crystal clear images that accompany the words make The Express Tribune a source of staying positively informed.

With so much misreporting and yellow journalism rife in today’s complex society, The Express Tribune has arrived as a breath of fresh air. I personally vouch for its genuine quality and recommend every decent law-abiding citizen of Pakistan to browse its pages on a regular basis. He or she will only benefit from this exercise in knowledge enhancement and information gathering.
