ABBOTTABAD: A two-year-old kid, while crossing a watercourse, was washed away by a flash flood near Baseera village of Bodla Tehsil, Havelian on Thursday. The child, identified as Bilal Amir Shah, was wading through the watercourse with his mother before being taken away by a high current, local police said. People standing on both sides made attempts to save the boy, but failed to do so. The search for his body was still under way. Torrential monsoon rains have triggered widespread flooding in many parts of the Abbottabad city.
