Youm-e-Shuhada: Sacrifices of slain K-P cops hailed
'They will continue to render sacrifices and fight against terrorism'
PESHAWAR:
Despite the deteriorating security situation in the country, the police force in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) continued to render sacrifices. This was stated by speakers while speaking at an event at the Peshawar Press Club to pay tribute to police officials martyred in the war against terrorism in the province. K-P observes August 4 as police martyrs’ day every year to remember over 1,500 cops who have laid down their lives. Additional Inspector General of Police Trainings Fasihuddin said that K-P police had sacrificed their lives for the public and the security of the province. He added that their sacrifices have been recognised nationally and internationally. “There is no example of such brave cops like those of K-P police who have rendered sacrifices for the country,” he said, adding, that they will continue to render sacrifices and fight against terrorism.
