LAS VEGAS: Marcos Maidana picked up the pace to earn a hard-fought 12-round majority decision over Erik Morales in a junior welterweight fight.

Maidana came out with more spark at the beginning and provided the finish as he was the busier of the two in the 11th and 12th rounds in the non-title fight. Maidana won 116-112, 116-112, 114-114 on the three judges’ scorecards.
