Ranbir Kapoor breaks his silence on dating Mahira Khan

Rumours surrounding Ranbir Kapoor and Mahira Khan sharing a romantic bond - and their friendship culminating into more then just a 'casual friendship' have been making headlines this past week. Reported by Business of Cinema, Ranbir finally retorted back to the rumours.

While everyone is still wondering when and how this news story took shape, let's break it down. Being famous personalities in the acting world, and having a mutual friend - Fawad Khan, it is no surprise that the two actors were familiar with each other. While Ranbir and Fawad acted together in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Mahira and Fawad have been friends since they shot Humsafar together.

Mahira was once asked as to whom she preferred from Bollywood and her answer was Ranbir Kapoor. On the other hand, during one of his film’s promotions, the Jagga Jasoos actor was asked in a rapid-fire-round, about women he found beautiful, Ranbir picked the Humsafar beauty Mahira Khan along with Gal Gadot.

The two seemed to have developed a friendship in the recent international event Global Teacher Prize, held in Dubai this year. Reportedly, Mahira and Ranbir immediately hit it off and in the brief moment they were spotted together made headlines, dubbed as proof of something more than a friendship brewing between the two actors.

Ranbir has a history of relationships with Bollywood starlets like Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone but we never really found out what went wrong between the couples before they parted ways.

The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor has never shied from publicly speaking about his relationships in the past. When asked in an exclusive interview about his recent dating rumours with DNA, the actor confessed that he is not seeing anyone and is enjoying his time being single.

''I have never been single in my life. Since the age seven, I have always been in a relationship."

He also admitted that he is always linked up to his co-stars or fellow Bollywood actresses and he’s used to it. As a celebrity, he only gets to talk to people from the industry so he isn’t surprised with the rumours.

“This is the first time I am single and it’s amazing. You have a lot of time for yourself. I’m not meeting anybody. The only people you meet are the film industry people and eventually, the only people you start talking to are actors."

When asked if he was tired with all the rumours and speculations on his relationship with the Raees star, he said he wasn’t.

Although the actor didn’t agree or deny the mystery of his friendship with actor Mahira, we aren’t sure what exactly to think of his answers. But one thing that is clear, is that he is single and not dating anyone at the moment.

Ranbir Kapoor was recently seen in his home production Jagga Jasoos alongside ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif. His film unfortunately failed to impress at the box office.
