Karachi-based fashionista and editor at Women’s Own Magazine spills all her styling secrets. Find out the silhouettes she loves and how her style has changed over the years

Understanding your body is the key to looking good and a trait found amongst all impeccably dressed fashionistas. While people shy away from talking about their bodies, these brave souls explain how they work their anatomies to their advantage

How would you describe your body type?

I’m naturally curvy with a very narrow waist - I would say I have an hourglass figure.

Has your body type changed over the last five years?

My weight keeps fluctuating due to PCOS but I have incorporated a regular workout in my routine; which is why over the past few years I have really toned myself and seen some tremendous changes in my body. I have accepted my body type the way it is as I will always stay curvy but I like to keep myself in good physical shape.

How has your style changed over the years?

I have always had a classic wardrobe but I love following trends too to mix up things a little bit and generally because fashion is my lifestyle.

In your opinion what is your most troublesome area?

As an Asian I feel my lower body is my most troublesome area. But I like to keep my body toned and am particular about the way I look so I bring my lazy ass self to workout.

How do you dress your body according to your body type?

I like to wear clothes that accentuate my narrow waist as that I feel is my best feature. So I mostly wear high-waisted skirts and dresses that hug my waist and basically clothes that suit my body type.

In your opinion what is the biggest mistake a person can make while dressing here?

Not dressing according to one’s body type is the biggest mistake that people make here.

Which silhouettes suit your body the most?

Skirts or anything that defines my upper body and waist – long dresses maybe.

What is the one piece of clothing that you shy away from wearing and why?

I always wanted to sport shorts but for that I wish I had leaner legs.
