ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested nine lawbreakers from various parts of the city and recovered wine, a stolen motorbike and weapons from them, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday.

The official said that the Shams Colony police arrested Riaz and Ghulam Habib, recovering a stolen motorbike from them.

The Kohsar police arrested Zeeshan and recovered 25 bottles of wine from him.

The Shehzad Town police arrested Shehbaz Ashraf for carrying a 30 bore pistol while Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shafique arrested Zaka and Shuja for their alleged involvement in thefts.

The Khanna police arrested Mujahid, Hasnain and Musawar for looting valuables.

The suspects were booked and further investigations are underway.

Meanwhile, in Rawalpindi, police arrested 23 lawbreakers and recovering 6.09 kilogrammes of hashish, 58 litres of liquor and two 30 bore pistols with 54 rounds from their possession.
