Two suicide bombers killed in abortive attack on border post
The bombers tried to enter the Jarobi camp but faced stiff resistance from troops

Two border guards were injured as they prevented as many suicide bombers from attacking a Frontier Constabulary (FC) camp on the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Agency, the military said on Friday.
Two suicide bombers were killed when security forces – engaged in the ongoing countrywide military operation Radd-ul-Fasaad – foiled a terrorist attack on a border post in the Landi Kotal sub-division of Khyber Agency, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

“Terrorists, including two suicide bombers, from across the border attempted [to] raid and target Misthara post, two kilometres northwest of Jarobi on Pak-Afghan border,” the military’s media wing said in the statement. “Both suicide bombers [were] killed. Two soldiers got injured in exchange of fire with [the] terrorists.”
Sources said the bombers tried to enter the Jarobi camp but faced stiff resistance from troops, adding that one of the bombers was killed while the other, when surrounded, blew himself up.
The two injured border guards were airlifted to the Combined Military Hospital in Peshawar where officials said their condition was out of danger.
Radd-ul-Fasaad is the 11th military operation in the country since 2007 when a comprehensive strategy was adopted to deal with terrorism. But most of the earlier campaigns were restricted to the tribal regions, Balochistan and Karachi.

IBO in DG Khan
In a joint Intelligence Based Operation (IBO), the Pakistan Rangers, Punjab police and intelligence agencies arrested two facilitator gangs of terrorists from Dera Ghazi Khan.
Illegal automatic weapons, ammunition and uniforms of Law Enforcement Agencies were recovered from their possession, said the ISPR. The weapons and ammo were being transported for terrorist activities in major cities of Punjab and Sindh provinces.
The IBO was carried out in sequel to the ongoing operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
