Punjab Rangers on Friday arrested terrorists, including women operatives, belonging to two different militant groups in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ghazi Khan.

The operation was conducted with the help of police and intelligence agencies and succeeded to foil the terrorists' plan to transport an ample amount of arms and ammunition to different cities in Punjab and Sindh, the military's media wing said in a statement.

According to an Inter-Services Public Relation’s (ISPR) statement, huge quantity of illegal and automatic weapons, ammunition and LEAs uniforms were seized from the terrorists.

The raid was part of ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad which has so far resulted in arrests and execution of several terrorists and dismantling of their networks across the country.

Following a sharp spike in terrorist attacks, Pakistan’s military had announced earlier this year the launch of a new nationwide military offensive, codenamed Radd-ul-Fasaad (suppressing mischief), with an aim to eliminate remnants of terrorists.
