41 police officials dismissed

111 police officials have been dismissed for their unprofessional behaviour and other irregularities

LAHORE: SSP Headquarters Special Protection Unit Farooqabad Syed Ali Mohsin has dismissed 41 police officials and cases have been registered against them under Police Order 2002 for the misuse of authority.



So far, 111 police officials of SPU, a unit established for the security of foreigners, have been dismissed for their unprofessional behaviour and other irregularities. Speaking on the occasion, Ali said the main purpose of Special Protection Unit was to provide security to foreigners working on different projects. Ensuring foolproof security of China Pakistan Economic Corridor is also a task of the unit.



Police negligence during duty will not be tolerated, the SSP added. The China Pakistan Economic Corridor project is vital for the country and any attack on foreign workers could affect completion.
