Balochistan set to play role in country’s development: Zehri

Chief minister says law and order situation has been improved in the province

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has said that Balochistan, which is the largest province of the country, is all set to play its dynamic role for the economic development of the country.

“The new generation of Balochistan is at the forefront for the establishment of peace and promotion of healthy activities. Owing to cooperation of the masses, sacrifices of security forces, peace has returned to the province, including Makran, Awaran and Khuzdar,” he added.

The chief minister expressed these views during a meeting with Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Major General Nadeem Anjum who called on him on Wednesday.  IGFC expressed his grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Senator Agha Shahbaz Durrani, brother-in-law of the Balochistan chief minister, and offered Fateha.

Provincial ministers including Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani, Sardar Muhammad Aslam Bizenjo, Balochistan Chief Secretary Aurangzeb Haque, IG Police Ahsan Mehboub, Chief Minister Coordinator Jamal Shah Kakar, Ejaz Sanjarani and Ghazi Khan Pindarni were also present on the occasion.

During the meeting, affairs related to law and order situation in the province were discussed and it was agreed upon that due to effective measures taken by Police, FC, Levies and administration extraordinary improvement had been witnessed in the security situation of the province.

It was expressed during the meeting that peace established after huge sacrifices of the masses and security forces would be maintained at any cost.

According to them, it was due to the efforts of the security forces, that trust and respect of the masses had been restored.
