Twins drown in flooded Swabi stream

Police say Murtaza and Mujtaba, twin sons of Fazal Ahad, drowned when Murtaza fell into the stream

SWABI: Torrential rains and flash flood have claimed the lives of two minors in Swabi on Tuesday. Police said that Murtaza and Mujtaba, twin sons of Fazal Ahad, drowned when Murtaza fell into the stream. To save his brother, Mujtaba jump in after him. However, they could not battle the strong currents and died.After struggling for six hours, locals managed to find the bodies of the two brothers in a another village located downstream. Both boys were students of grade five and were said to have weak eye sight which reportedly caused Murtaza to fall into the stream.
