District Council Sargodha approves Rs823.6m budget

Rs400 million allocated for Annual Development Programme, and Rs11 million for salaries of employees

SARGODHA: A budget of Rs823.6 million has been approved for District Council, Sargodha for the year 2017-18, under which various ongoing and new projects will be completed.

The meeting of District Council was held on Monday which was presided over by Vice-Chairman Mazhar Hussain while District Council Chairman Sardar Asim Sher Maiken presented the budget.



In his speech, the chairman told the meeting that Rs400 million funds had been allocated for Annual Development Programme, while Rs11 million had been allocated for salaries of district council employees. Funds of Rs42 million were allocated for salaries of Urban Union Council employees and Rs188 million funds for non-development expenditures, he said.

Health budget up by 80% in budget for fiscal year 2017-18

Sardar Asim Sher disclosed that the district council had estimated Rs636 million grants from its resources and from the provincial government funds. He directed the officials concerned to complete all the ongoing development projects within 15 days.
