LAHORE: Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD-NR) has expressed appreciation for the initiative taken by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to encourage the construction of commercial buildings in the city.

Game, set, match: LDA to set up 12 sports complexes across city

Under the initiative, LDA would approve the plan of such buildings within 15 days of submission. According to the announcement, building plan challan fee, FBR tax challan, WASA augmentation charges challans and TEPA NOC etc would also be issued at LDA’s one-window facility.

ABAD-NR Chairman Engineer Akber Sheikh said that in view of recent judgments by the Supreme Court in Islamabad, Lahore should formulate and implement its commercial usage of property policy before a similar decision disrupts the commercial activities in the metropolis.
