Official poster of 'Punjab Nahi Jaungi' is here and sorry, we're not entirely sold

Yes, Humayun Saeed is rocking a dramatic handlebar MOOCH!

The latest poster of Balu Mahi. Jab We Met Two?

The first glimpse at the official poster of Punjab Nahi Jaungi reminds me of a stereotypical Bollywood flick projecting the Yin Yan theory of desi boy meets ‘modern’ girl and tensions arise due to cultural differences and a potential love triangle. There you go - we have it all panned out for you - and the movie isn't even out yet!

Not to mention, with a cast that comprises Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat, who also played the leads in Jawani Phir Nai Aani is not exactly an attention grabber anymore - and seems to be setting a monotonous tone to what romantic comedies in Pakistan would look like.

Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat starrer 'Punjab Nahi Jaungi' teaser released

There's a hint of drama with Saeed adorned in a lungi paired with Nike shoes and Hayat dressed in a chic top and flared pants, propping a gandasa.

But all that contrast is not enough to excite us, especially when the green field backdrop screams: 'Hi. I'm the poster of Jab We Met Two.'

How have Pakistani films fared in 2017 so far?

Humayun Saeed flaunts an in-your-face desi handlebar mustache and seems to be playing a hardcore Punjabi native - in contrast with, what appears to be, a chic, metropolitan girl, essayed by Hayat.

To sum it up - this poster is not exactly anything we haven't seen before! Sorry folks - no surprises here!

ali | 7 years ago | Reply this Mr saeed and Mehwish need to learn some acting,, these two will prove to be the burden of the movie,, just pretty faces and no talent,, what a shame,, Urwa, Azfar and Butt will do the real magic here,, we need to stay away from STALKER type movies,, why always on earth a man win the heart of a women who at the start hated him,, why we promote STALKERISM,,??
