“If the Sharif family fails to respond to the questions asked by the JIT, then their next Eid holidays will be in [the] Adiala jail instead of London,” he said during an informal talk with the media.
“I congratulate the nation as the dark night is about to end and a bright future is ahead for Pakistan,” he added.
Khan underscored that the rulers had been making fool of the nation in the name of democracy “but this formula will not work anymore”.
“For the rulers a new Pakistan means building new bridges and roads, but for the PTI, supremacy of law, justice and independent institutions is the new Pakistan.”
“Being a sportsman,” he said, “I always play to win and never think about defeat.”

“I strongly believe that corrupt rulers will have to face justice in the Panama case,” Khan said and added, “Corrupt rulers have done more damage to the country than [its] enemies.”
The PTI chief said the JIT had asked the ruling family 13 questions, but they were trying to find an escape. “Instead of responding to these questions correctly, the rulers have been trying to give an impression that it is an attempt to derail democracy.”
He said the Panama case was all about corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets by the ruling family, but all their ministers had been teamed up to defend the corruption of the Sharif family.
Reacting to Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique’s latest outbursts, Khan said: “Rafique cannot understand the Panama case or the meaning of money laundering because he has earned all his wealth through [the sale of] prize bonds.”

Khan said people from other political parties were joining the PTI unconditionally, adding it was very interesting that before joining the PTI all those people were respectable and all of a sudden PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had declared them ‘rotten eggs’.
He said he had learnt a lesson from 2013 general elections. “The party did not have time to find credible candidates because it did not have proper parliamentary board.”
In 2013, the majority of the tickets were awarded on the basis of references or recommendations, he added. “But this will not happen again.”
“I myself will interview and select candidates for the upcoming general election. But remember the party has to award 900 tickets and it is impossible for any political party to find ‘angels’ for all seats.”
About Raymond Davis, Khan said it was really shameful that a CIA ‘contractor’ took four innocent lives and flew back to his country with the connivance of a political government and security agencies.
