USAID for reconstruction of FATA

PESHAWAR: USAID wants to play a role in the reconstruction of the destroyed education and health facilities in Mohmand Agency, stated Director USAID, Pakistan.

The organizations priority is the provision of drinking water within six months, he stated during a visit along with six members team to Galanai, headquarters of Mohmand Agency on Wednesday.

During the visit he met elders, ulemas, and members of the peace committees of the agency.

Officials of the political administration briefed the visiting Director and members of his team on the ongoing developmental schemes in the area.

The administrators called for creation of job opportunities and establishment of industrial units and called upon the donors' agencies for providing special financial assistance for economic revival of the area.

Later, the Director USAID said the developmental schemes would be initiated on the recommendations of the tribal elders and political administration to bring a positive change in the lives of the people of the area.
