ISLAMABAD: Chairperson of the Implementation Commission on the 18th Amendment Mian Raza Rabbani said on Wednesday that the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) ongoing scholarship programmes will not be affected despite the HEC’s devolution. Talking to the media at the Parliament House, the senator said: “Students who have been studying under the current HEC scholarships will continue with their education.” He also dispelled the impression that HEC’s devolution plan would affect foreign fundings for the commission, and said that foreign loans were always released to the government directly.
