Govt opens 22 new post offices in K-P

Ministry of Communications has established 22 new post offices in various parts of K-P during the last four years

ISLAMABAD: While post offices were closing down in the country and the rest of the world with the advent of cell phones, e-mails, social media and other information technology tools, government has set up new post offices in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Ministry of communications has established 22 new post offices in various parts of K-P during the last four years. An official of the ministry said the new post offices had been set up to cater to public requirements in accordance with the prescribed criteria and also keeping in view the financial viability. To a question, he said, in the fierce competitive environment, Pakistan Post Office is endeavouring to improve service delivery and cater to the present day requirements of the clientele with an ultimate objective to serve the people better.
