According to the eyewitnesses, both the bodyguards - Mujahid Hussain and Muhammad Jamil – exchanged harsh words over the matter of placing their mattresses with each other at MNA’s guesthouse in Chak 66, on Jhang Road in the jurisdiction of Thekriwala Police Station.
The dispute became serious when Muhammad Jamil opened fire on his colleague Mujahid who died on the spot.
SHO Thekriwala Police told The Express Tribune that a case has been registered under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code against accused Muhammad Jamail alias Saain who fled from the scene after killing his colleague.

“The suspect belongs to Gujrat whereas the deceased was a resident of Rahim Yar Khan. The body has been handed over to the hires of the deceased after postmortem,” he added.
SP Iqbal Town has directed an inquiry of the incident and sought details from the eyewitnesses. One of the eyewitness reportedly said the deceased had allegedly abused to the accused, who in a fit of anger, took his gun and opened fire on him which proved fatal and he died on the spot.
Both were the bodyguards of the PML-N MNA for over about nine months and have no enmity with each other.
