MULTAN: Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) staged a protest demonstration in condemnation of twin blasts in Parachinar on Sunday in which more than sixty people lost their lives.

Provincial Deputy Secretary General Muhammad Abbas Siddique led the protest demonstration in front of Masjid Al-Hussain at New Multan. While addressing the protesters, he said that government had failed to eliminate terrorism. “These terrorist attacks are a question mark on the efforts of government in rooting out terrorism.”

Provincial Deputy Secretary Qamar Abbas Zaidi said, “Parachinar is on the hit list of terrorists since many years. In the last six months, hundreds of people have lost their lives in Parachinar in four major terrorist attacks.” He added, “The situation is alarming for the security institutions and government.”

District Secretary General Nadeem Abbas Kazmi said it was not about one particular religious group but about the ordinary citizens of the country who were being killed in Pakistan.
