Five men arrested for sexually abusing, recording abuse of five-year-old child in Khanewal

Suspects invited child for a picnic and later the five sexually assaulted him, took video of abuse

MULTAN: Multan police on Friday arrested five people for sexually assaulting a five-year-old child in Mian Channu, a sub district of District Khanewal, on Friday.

Police officials said a resident of Shams Pura area, Muhammad Wakeel Khan had registered a case against five people at the city police station for sexually abusing his five-year-old grandson, on June 4. Muhammad Wakeel stated that the suspect, Abdur Rahman, asked Wakeel's grandson to go on a picnic and later took him to a house located in Nand Singh where five people abused him sexually and recorded a video of it.

Muhammad Wakeel claimed that the suspects were threatening to upload the pornographic video, and nude images of the child on the internet. He stated that the suspects were blackmailing the family, and have been demanding money ever since the incident took place. He further stated that the incident had greatly affected the child mentally and physically.

"He neither plays games nor behaves as he used to, and always expresses worry and fear", said the grandfather.

Police have said that the incident is being investigated and four people including Abdur Rahman, Tariq Mahmood, Ali Ansaari, Khalid Ghaffari and Tauseef Ahmad have been arrested. The police have also stated that the gang has a large network and investigations are underway to arrest other members involved as well.
