The minister said the step was aimed at providing recreational facilities to the rural population and ensure cleanliness and effective management of solid waste. “The government wants to remove ponds of dirty water and other such places at big villages of the province and create state-of-the-art recreational sites in place of them,” he said. He added that a campaign would also be launched to create awareness among rural population for managing human and animal waste and to keep the streets and passages clean.
