Nisar promises efforts to promote economic activities

RCCI delegation discusses ongoing projects, CPEC, issues faced by business community

ISLAMABAD: All possible efforts will be made for the promotion of economic activities and resolving problems of the business community, said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday.

Talking to a delegation of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), the minister urged the business community to take advantage of the better law and order situation and play its role in speeding up economic activities in the country.

During the meeting, different ongoing projects, particularly China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, business activities of the chamber and issues being faced by the businesses were discussed.

RCCI members said due to the coordinated and co-related strategy and improved law and order situation, the business community felt secure and their confidence was also restored.

They said owing to suitable conditions, there was economic stability and increase in business activities in the country.

The RCCI delegation stressed the need for further strengthening mutual coordination between the government and business community as it would help resolve their issues and remove reservations.

The delegation expressed its desire to play a more effective role in acting as a bridge between the businessmen and the government to further the progress of Rawalpindi city.

They said the construction of Rawalpindi bypass would reduce problems of the city, facilitate the business community and create new opportunities for them.

Nisar appreciated the role of RCCI in promoting business activities and introducing Pakistani products at the international level.

The delegation included RCCI President Amer Iqbal, Senior Vice President Arshad Wayne, Group leader Sohail Altaf and Raja Manan Zafar.
