Four convicted to 10 years for possessing drugs

Arrested for possessing 1,840 grammes of heroin and 2,396 grammes of hashish.

Four men were sentenced to 10 years for possessing narcotics in Sargodha on Monday. The judgment was announced by Additional District and Sessions Judge Zulfiqar Ali.

The prosecution told the court that accused Imran, Javed, Husnain and Khalid were arrested for possessing 1,840 grammes of heroin and 2,396 grammes of hashish.

The police nabbed the accused during a raid and registered an FIR against them.

The police produced the accused before the court where they were found guilty of the offence. After hearing witnesses and analysing the evidence, the court awarded 10-year jail term to the convicts. The court also imposed a fine of Rs60,000 on them.
