Donnarumma to Real, Perez to Sevilla? Read all gossip here
As football season draws to a close and the transfer window opens, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive regarding the biggest clubs and players.
We take a look at some of the major ones:
Courtois rejects first offer for new contract
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has rejected opening offer of a new contract from the club, according to Goal.com.
Despite the rejection, the Belgian stopper, who has attracted interest from Real Madrid is likely to sign a new contract with the club as both parties agree to continue negotiations.
According to the report, the 25-year-old want to double his salary to £200,000 from £100,000 per week in the new contract.
Courtois, who joined Chelsea back in 2011, has already represented club in more than 90 matches, and played a crucial role in guiding his team to the league title last season.
Arsenal bid for Lyon’s Lacazette
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed receiving bid for the star striker Alexandre Lacazette from the Premier League giants Arsenal, Daily Standard reported.
“Alexandre Lacazette was told he could leave,” said Aulas. “We had negotiations with Atletico. Things did not work out. We now have a very nice offer from Arsenal. But for us he will not leave.”
The 26-year-old already made his intentions clear that he wants to leave Lyon in surge of trophies, and was on the verge of completing move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
However, the deal could not materialised after Athletico’s transfer ban was upheld by Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
Real to bid for Milan’s Donnarumma
Real Madrid are lining up a £26.25 million bid for AC Milan's promising goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, talkSport reported.
The news came after Donnarumma’s agent announced on Thursday that he will not sign contract extension with the club.
Los Blancos were in the market to strengthen their goalkeeping options this season, and identified Manchester United’s David de Gea as the man to replace to Keylor Navas between the sticks.
However, United’s price tag of £60 million made Real looked for other options, and highly-rated 18-year-old Donnarumma can solve that problem for the reigning European champions in the decade to come.
Veratti to Barcelona nearly done deal
Paris Saint Germain (PSG) ace midfielder Marco Veratti is all set to join Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer, Daily Mail reported quoting Spanish newspaper Sport.
The report reveals that the 24-year-old met with Barca’s director Javier Bordas, and expressed his desire to join the Catalan giants.
Sport is not the only newspaper who is confirming the development, as another Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo also reported that the Italy midfielder is set to become the first major signing of the Ernesto Valverde era.
Sevilla and Deportivo interested in Perez: agent
Arsenal striker Lucas Perez’s agent claims that his player is a summer target for two La Liga sides, Sevilla and Deportivo La Coruna, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Spaniard failed to make an impact for the Gunners ever since arriving at the Emirates for £17 million from Deportivo last summer, which is why he just made two starts throughout the season.
Last month, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confessed that he feels sorry for not giving playing time to the striker. “"He’s a top quality striker but I couldn’t give him the games he wants and deserves,” said Wenger. “I confess that. I feel a bit sorry for him.”
