Amnesty team meets Mirwaiz

SRINAGAR:

A two-member team of Amnesty International met APHC leader Mirwaiz Umer Farooq in Srinagar.


The global watchdog of human rights, Amnesty International on Tuesday discussed various aspects to assess the state of human rights in the held valley.


The Amnesty team, comprising of Bikram Batra and Ramesh Gopal Krishen arrived in Indian occupied Kashmir on Monday on a six-day visit.


Tens of thousands of people have been killed in two decades of anti-India insurgency in Kashmir.
