The photo sharing app has finally offered a solution other than deleting the pictures. They have added a feature that lets you archive your posts - letting you hide certain pictures from your profile.
Testing was started last month on some users but the feature was publicly launched on Tuesday for both iOS and Android versions of the app.
Instagram user meltdown after app crashes
“Your profile is a representation of who you are and evolves with you over time,” Instagram said in a post.“With Archive, you now have more flexibility to shape your profile while still preserving moments that matter.”
To archive a photo or video that you’ve posted, simply tap “…” and then press “Archive” from the list of options.
In order to view your archived content, tap the new circular arrow symbol on the top right of your page.
In case you change your mind and want to make an archive content viewable, hit the Archive's circular arrow symbol and select “show on profile".
Instagram copies Snapchat yet again with ‘Face Filters’
Instagram hopes this feature will prevent users from permanently deleting a post by giving them a middle option.
