Adamjee Life launches a nationwide war against hunger

Food for everyone who needs it, till the last day of Ramzan

June 13, 2017

According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture organization Pakistan has an alarmingly high level of malnutrition. It says that 24 percent of the population is undernourished and that 37.5 million people in Pakistan are not receiving proper nourishment.

Global warming has made it certain for every year to be hotter than the last and when summer and ramzan coincide, it becomes increasingly difficult for the less privileged of the country to fare.

Adamjee Life has launched their campaign #FillThePlate in hopes of contributing to the eradication of malnutrition and eventually hunger, in Pakistan. Adamjee Life wants to make the most of the divine month of the Islamic calendar and help the less fortunate people of Pakistan.

In a time where the country comes together for good, Adamjee Life is more than just doing their bit. They are making sure that the populace of Pakistan does not go hungry, and to do it, they need the help of the people. For every tweet or social media post that endorses the hashtag #FillThePlate Adamjee Life will provide one meal to a needy.

When stressing the importance of this campaign, Wasim Akram sheds light on the nearly 22% population of Pakistan that suffers physical and mental problems because of the lack of food. Sitting on the comfortable end of society, it is our duty to try our best to make sure that no one goes to bed on an empty stomach.

As part of the #FillThePlate campaign, Adamjee life is conducting mass iftar drives at Edhi homes & Saylani across Pakistan. Adamjee has also placed road side iftar camps and Adamjee vans can also be seen distributing food to the needy on the streets. This is a nationwide anti-hunger campaign on an unprecedented scale. But the best part about it is the fact that these efforts will continue till the last day of ramzan.

However, no matter how much effort one puts in, no feat is truly accomplishable if done alone. These efforts should be appreciated and must motivate the rest of the nation to #FillThePlate.
