Instagram user meltdown after app crashes

Facebook-owned Instagram tends to be relatively stable and is used by over 700 million people

Photo-sharing app Instagram caused a frenzy on social media when it crashed last night.

Last night, Instagram’s webpage and mobile app stopped loading with any attempts to refresh leading to an error message. Old pictures appeared on the screen suggesting that nothing was wrong but once you refreshed the feed, the app stopped working.

Instagram stories seemed to be working fine, suggesting that the problem was more to do with refreshing the newsfeed.

Instagram is now letting you send links in direct messages

Facebook-owned Instagram tends to be relatively stable and is used by over 700 million people. Any problems with its functionality causes a major outcry not just for personal users but businesses as well.
