ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Focal Person on Polio Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq will reiterate pledge to end polio from Pakistan during Rotary Convention in Atlanta.

She would brief the global leaders on Pakistan’s progress in polio eradication on behalf of the premier, a statement said on Sunday.

The meeting in Atlana is an event where governments and donors pledge to stay committed for polio eradication till the job is done.

Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq is representing Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who was invited by Rotary for this yearly convention.

Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq said in the statement that she will be sharing with the global forum how Pakistan overcame challenges like inaccessibility and insecurity in polio eradication.

During her stay in Atlanta she will also meet several leaders and top functionaries from different countries and organisations including Bill Gates to discuss the Global Polio Eradication effort with emphasis on progress of Pakistan Polio Programme.
