He added that early diagnosis of brain tumour and surgical intervention could decrease the morbidity and mortality rates and improve quality of life.
As the world is observing World Brain Tumor Day on Thursday, the professor while talking to The Express Tribune said that the hospital was providing all diagnostic, treatment and research facilities under one roof. “Brain tumour is completely curable and all facilities of neurosurgery are available in Pakistan,” he said.

He added that permanent headache, nausea and vomiting were the early symptoms of brain tumour. The advancement in the health sector and the latest research had improved the treatment of brain diseases and majority of patients were recovered completely, he lamented.
He said that surgery was the initial treatment of brain tumour but sometimes doctors could not remove the whole tumour, therefore, radiation was required for further treatment.
