Operation: Police rescue seven kidnapped people

Kashmore police conducted operation in Lanjo Pat at the Sindh-Balochistan border.

Seven kidnapped persons were rescued by the Kashmore police from Lanjo Pat at the Sindh-Balochistan border over the last 24 hours.


On Sunday night, the police raided and cordoned off Lanjo Pat. They claimed that they exchanged fire with the outlaws for hours, after which they managed to arrest two kidnappers and free three hostages, Ashiq Khoso, Rizwan Chachar and Imran Chachar. Khoso had been kidnapped from Kashmore around 60 days ago, while Rizwan Chachar and his son, Imran, were kidnapped five days ago from Nek Muhammad Khoso village. The police did not disclose the names of the arrested men.

Officials said the police rescued four more people on Monday. Two brothers, Jehangir and Shabbir Shaikh, had been kidnapped from the same area two weeks ago, while Faisal Kharal and his wife Shamim, residents of Faisalabad, were kidnapped from near Kashmore 18 days ago. Kashmore DPO Asad Raza Shah was unavailable for comment.
