A police official told The Express Tribune that Sabir Hussain, his daughter-in-law Haleema and his wife Zahra were travelling on a motorcycle when unidentified armed men intercepted them and opened fire on them within Fazilpur police precincts.
He added, “As a result, Sabir, Zahra and Haleema were killed on the spot.” He maintained the bodies were shifted to a local hospital for legal formalities.

The police official pointed out, “We are investigating the case but it seems that the culprits murdered Haleema and her in-laws as they were unhappy with her marriage.” He said, “A case has been registered at the police station and all efforts are being carried out to trace and arrest the culprits.”
Earlier in February 2017, a woman was tortured to death by a self-proclaimed faith healer attempting to perform an exorcism on her in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Suraya Bibi, 31, was taken to 'faith healer' Amanullah Darkhan's 'healing centre' by relatives who claimed she was under the influence of spirits.
