Telenor Microfinance Bank, Coca-Cola to raise funds for Edhi

Pledged to donate Edhi Foundation twice the amount donated by people during Ramazan

KARACHI: Telenor Microfinance Bank (formerly Tameer Microfinance Bank) through its mobile banking platform, Easypaisa, is joining Coca-Cola Pakistan to facilitate a nationwide donation drive for Edhi Foundation where the beverages giant has pledged to donate Edhi Foundation twice the amount donated by people during Ramazan. As part of the support being provided by Telenor Microfinance Bank, customers will be able to pay their donations to Edhi Foundation at more than 75,000 Easypaisa shops across Pakistan. Donations can also be made through Easypaisa account or Easypaisa's Android and iOS mobile apps.

Saeed | 7 years ago | Reply Our beloved Mr Edhi always refrain from giving publicity to brands by receiving on stages. Anybody can give anything but he did not let anybody take publicity by donating on stage. Donations are good but using it as a publicity tool is not good. Caretaker after him should be careful and do not let anybody hijack this system. Edhi trust has made a trust in people's heart. Other trust are also there but many are engaged in creating publicity by making it a brand or showing picture of person to get people attention. Mr. Edhi did it very simply but very efficiently. His forerunners should take care.
