Agriculture in AJK: Government aiming to boost sector

Govt plans to establish fair price shops for supply of seeds and other agricultural related items across the state.

MIRPUR:

To give an impetus to the agriculture sector of AJK, the state government has been contemplating to ink an integrated phased plan to establish fair price shops for the supply of seeds and other agricultural related items across the state, official sources said.

The sources told APP on Sunday that mega vegetable markets were also being established to facilitate the farmers. The sources further said that an agriculture policy was being formulated to promote and encourage the cultivation of agricultural products besides uplifting the Livestock and Dairy Development sectors.
